I am so grateful to meet and teach all my students! Sharing my expertise on music with the students brings me so much joy and energy. As an active violinist, I enjoy playing in many different settings and genres of music, including classical, folk, and jazz.
I have taught over 300 students ages ranging from 3 and half to adult. I love learning about students as individuals, and helping them amplify their strengths and nourish their weaknesses.
I teach private and group lessons for Beginner to Advanced Violin, Beginner to Advanced Piano, Beginner to Intermediate Ukulele, and Beginner to Intermediate Guitar!
Mr. James has a BA Guitar Performance and Pedagogy and an MA in Applied Music Pedagogy, both from Northeastern Illinois University. I addition he studied Jazz and Commercial Guitar at American Conservatory of Music for several years. He has a professional performing career spanning over 40 years in the genres of classical, jazz, pop, Latin jazz and Cuban music.
During these four decades he has also acquired extensive experience teaching private and group music instruction to children and adults, as well as to Special Needs people. James also teaches advanced ukulele and intermediate piano students.
I enjoy playing music with many different artists. It's very fulfilling to teach students music. I would love to help you with your music learning journey!

Ms. Mariana is a classically trained piano instructor with 5+ years of teaching experience, strong work ethic and dedication to the students. She has a strong understanding of the subject matter and can communicate that knowledge to students in an engaging way.
Mariana began her musical education in piano and accordion in Ukraine at the age of 8 and after many years of devoted learning got her Diploma with distinction. Her Bachelor’s she got from Ukraine as well. She continued her musical journey in Chicago, where she earned her AFA with a concentration in Music Education from HW College and got a Certificate and Illinois State Music Teachers Association Merit Award from Rosevelt University in AIM Exams. She attended numerous music festivals with a concentration on classical piano with world-renowned professors and pianists like Efrem Briskin, Peter Vinograde, Michael Davidman, Massimiliano Mainolfi where she was performing solo as well as in chamber music groups. Mariana has been performing in Indian Boundary Cultural Center, Fine Arts Building, St.Volodymyr School of Ukrainian Studies. She’s been teaching piano lessons to the kids 4+ years old as well as adults.
Mariana thinks that mastering the piano requires a tremendous amount of coordination, hard work and dedication, but all this cultivates many useful mental skills and really focuses the mind. “The piano keys are black and white but they sound like a million colors in your mind.”, M. C. Mena
I offer private and group piano lessons. I love helping students find joy in playing the piano!
Emma has been playing the violin for 13 years and is currently pursuing a Violin Performance Degree at University of Illinois at Chicago. She has played for the Depaul Community Music Division Youth Orchestra and Chamber program as well as the Cantabile Violin Choir. She also has her own chamber group, developed at UIC, named Harmonia and was able to play an assortment of gigs through the university, even playing for the Chancellor a number of times.
I aspire to see kids who find enjoyment in even the smallest things but also gain mountains of experience and specialties. I would love to pass on the torch of excitement to the younger generation and explore what is there to offer!
I offer group violin classes for beginner to advanced students!
